We collaborate with regional, national, and international communities to innovatively facilitate partnerships to address critical shortage areas and enhance culturally responsive practices. Areas of collaboration include pipelines for undergraduate students into graduate degree and certificate programs; faculty teaching and research collaborations; and summer programs for students.
Additionally, we work with school districts to strengthen low performing schools. Together, the School of Education and school districts establish mutual goals and develop plans for meeting those goals. These collaborative agreements are supported by shared expertise and resources focused on capacity building for teachers and administrators in working with high-need schools and students.
The Office of Strategic Engagement has been fortunate to develop rich relationships with community partners who share in our passion to prepare educators to serve in socially just and equitable environments. Patners include school districts, univrsites, community agencies, educational organizations and others who are dedicated to providing high quality professional training.
